The Gruden family is living in the Aurisina area from centuries and the current forefather Valter Gruden has inherited the wisdom of over five generations of marble craftsman. With his enterprising and forward-looking personality, he has been able to keep the ancient family tradition alive with investments in cutting-edge tools and a team of professionals capable of combining quality, ecology, and contemporaneity.
THE STONE OF AURISINA
A quality that speaks for itself
It is no coincidence that the Gruden family has made its craftmanship flourish right in this area. Aurisina is, in fact, the municipality where the quarries of one of the most precious marbles of the world, bearing the same name, reside. Famous since the Republican time, the Stone of Auristina was the protagonist of the Roman architecture, then of the Renaissance one, until it was chosen by the contemporaries starchitects such as Zaha Hadid and other architects from all over the world for its resistance, versatility, and beauty.
While favoring autochthonous products such as the marble of Aurisina, Gramar offers its customers a vast range of other products from all over the world such as: granites, onyxes, stones, sandstones, slates, quartzites, and marbles as well as a selection of synthetic marbles of the last generation as agglomerates and quartzes.

THE AURISINA MARBLE
The marble of Aurisina, also called Aurisina stone, dates back to the 1st-century BC.
It is a sedimentary limestone rock with a more or less pale grey background color, sometimes tending to hazelnut, characterized by high purity, compactness, and relative homogeneity.
